Vinyl Plank Flooring in Middlesex County, NJ

Affordable, waterproof planks for busy households.

Vinyl plank covers a broad category, from thin flexible planks that glue down to rigid-core products that click together over almost any subfloor. All of it is waterproof, all of it handles pets and children well, and it is one of the fastest floors to install. We fit vinyl plank across Middlesex, Somerset, Hunterdon, Union and Mercer Counties.

What's included

Why homeowners choose us for vinyl plank

Thin vinyl telegraphs every imperfection beneath it, and rigid core hides more but not everything. The difference between a vinyl floor that looks flawless and one that shows every ridge is entirely in the preparation. We flatten the subfloor to the manufacturer tolerance and moisture-test concrete before anything is laid.

How much does vinyl plank cost in New Jersey?

Installed vinyl plank runs $5 to $11 per square foot here, covering material and professional installation. Thinner glue-down products sit at the bottom of the range and rigid-core luxury vinyl with a thick wear layer sits at the top. Subfloor levelling, if the room needs it, is quoted separately once we can see what we are working with.

Glue-down, click-lock, or rigid core?

Glue-down vinyl is thin, cheap and very stable, but it demands a near-perfect subfloor and it is a job to remove later. Click-lock floating vinyl installs fastest and can go over most existing floors. Rigid core, whether SPC or WPC, is the version most people mean by luxury vinyl plank: thicker, more dent resistant, and more forgiving of a subfloor that is not perfectly flat. For most homes, rigid core is the right default.

How long will it last?

Wear layer is what decides it. A 6 to 12 mil wear layer suits a bedroom or a low-traffic room. A 20 mil commercial-grade wear layer is what we recommend for kitchens, hallways, entries and any home with dogs. Under normal residential use with a good wear layer, fifteen to twenty-five years is a realistic expectation. Manufacturer warranties vary by product line.

Where it works, and where to think twice

It is fully waterproof, so kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and basements are all comfortable. It handles pets exceptionally well. The two places to think twice: rooms with large unshaded south-facing glass, where prolonged direct sun can fade some products over years, and homes where resale is the priority, since buyers still attach more value to real wood.

Frequently asked questions

Is vinyl plank the same as luxury vinyl plank?

Luxury vinyl plank is the premium end of the vinyl plank category, usually meaning rigid core construction with a thicker wear layer and more convincing texture. All LVP is vinyl plank; not all vinyl plank is LVP. The cheaper end is thinner and less dent resistant.

Can it be installed over concrete?

Yes, and it is one of the better choices for a slab. We test the slab for moisture first and use the appropriate underlayment or moisture barrier. Vinyl handles below-grade conditions that would ruin solid hardwood.

Does it dent under heavy furniture?

Rigid core SPC resists denting well; softer WPC and thin glue-down products less so. Felt pads under furniture legs and wide castors on anything rolling will prevent almost all of it. If you have very heavy furniture or a piano, tell us and we will specify accordingly.

How do I clean it without dulling the finish?

A damp microfibre mop and a cleaner made for vinyl. Avoid anything abrasive, avoid oil soaps and wax polishes, which leave a film that dulls the surface, and skip steam mops. Hard water in this area can leave a cloudy mineral film, which is deposit rather than dirt and usually lifts with a manufacturer-recommended cleaner.
