Our Story
A family flooring business, built on getting the prep right.
J Brothers Flooring has been installing and refinishing floors across central New Jersey since 2004. We are family-run, based in Middlesex, and the owner is on your job rather than a call centre.
Why We Exist
Floors fail underneath, not on top.
Almost every failed floor we are called to look at failed because of what was beneath it. A subfloor that was not flat, a slab that was never moisture tested, wood that went down before it acclimated. The material rarely gets blamed correctly. That is why our estimates start with what is under your existing floor rather than with a sample book, and why we will tell you when a floor you already have is worth refinishing instead of replacing.

Your home is not a job site to us. Furniture is moved properly, dust is controlled at the source, and we clean up as we go rather than at the end.

Flatness tolerances, moisture readings and acclimation times exist for a reason. We follow them even when nobody would know if we did not.

For your home, your time and your budget. We arrive when we say, and we tell you early if something will take longer than planned.
Integrity
A written price before work begins, listing the work, the materials and the total. No verbal estimates that grow once the old floor is up.
